Project Name: FM200 External Pressure Storage Gas Fire Extinguishing System Installation Project for an International Financial Data Center

In the core data center construction project of a certain international financial group located in Shanghai, to ensure the fire safety of the server room, distribution room and core network area, the project team selected the FM200 (heptafluoropropane) external pressure storage gas fire extinguishing system. This system has become the preferred choice for high-standard data centers due to its environmental friendliness (ODP=0, low GWP), efficient fire extinguishing capability, and the feature of no residual damage to precision electronic equipment.

In this project, the FM200 agent is stored in an independent cylinder room and driven by external nitrogen pressurization to ensure stable transportation of the agent to long distances (with the maximum transportation distance reaching 80 meters) and protected areas with complex pipeline networks under high pressure. The system design strictly adheres to the "Code for Design of Gas Fire Extinguishing Systems" (GB50370-2005) and NFPA 2001 standards. Through precise concentration calculation and hydraulic simulation of the pipeline network, it ensures that the fire extinguishing concentration is evenly discharged to the protected area within 10 seconds, achieving total flooding fire extinguishing.

The system is equipped with an intelligent fire alarm controller, emergency start-stop buttons and sound and light alarm devices, achieving early fire detection and automatic/manual interlocking control. All equipment has passed the national fire protection product certification and completed strict system linkage tests and acceptance. Since the system was put into operation, it has been running stably, providing all-weather and highly reliable fire safety guarantees for the data center, effectively ensuring the continuity of the customer's critical business.
